Anna van Veldhuisen is a percussionist and music teacher from Melbourne, Australia. Having completed her Bachelor of Music Performance from the VCA and a Dip Ed at Deakin University, Anna began her teaching career at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School teaching classroom music across all year levels. Since 2016, Anna has held the position of Head of Music at the Alice Miller School in Macedon, where she has developed a Kodaly-based program from Year 7 to VCE. She is also an experienced teacher and examiner of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Music Style & Composition and Music Performance. Anna has recently completed her Masters of Education at the University of Melbourne and Australian Kodaly Certificate, and is currently undertaking a doctorate at the University of Melbourne exploring the application of the Kodaly approach in Australian secondary schools under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Neryl Jeanneret.
