Dr. Zsolt Körmendy PhD (1966) graduated as secondary school music teacher, music theory, solfege teacher and choirmaster at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music. From 1994 to 2007 he worked as high school music teacher, in addition to this he led different church and secular choirs. For two years he worked as assistant conductor at Béla Bartók Concert Orchestra of Eötvös Loránd University of Science. From 2007 he works as arts editor of the family and youth programs at the Palace of Arts Budapest. He is member of the ECHO (European Concert Halls Organisation) educational workgroup. From 2009 he teaches concert-pedagogy, reception-centered music education and general pedagogical subjects at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music. In 2016 he finished his doctoral studies at the Eötvös Loránd University Graduate School of Educational Studies. From that year he is the head of teacher training department at Liszt Academy of Music. His special field of research is music education, concert pedagogy and the audience development.
