Born in September 1970, Liang Hong Lai graduated from the Music conservatory of Capital Normal University (Beijing) in 1992.
In 2011, he founded the Kodaly Music Education Professional Committee of the Beijing Musicians Association (in short, the Beijing Kodaly Society), and served as the vice chairman and secretary.
In 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2018 respectively, he organized study tours for the Beijing Kodaly Society to attend the summer school at the Kodaly Institute of Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary. Since 2011, he hosted the winter and summer Kodaly course classes of the Beijing Kodaly Society, and was also the main speaker. In many provinces and universities in mainland China, he provides Kodaly method training for music teachers in primary and middle schools as well as college students.
He is currently the director of the Music Teaching and Research Section of Primary and Secondary Schools of the Foundation Education Research Center of the Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences. He is also the Executive Director of the Music Education Branch of the China Education Society, member of the Chinese Musicians Association, director of the Beijing Musicians Association; member of the International Kodaly Society; vice president of the Piano Foundation Education Branch of the Beijing Musicians Association, as well as vice president and secretary of the Music Education Research Association of the Beijing Education Society; a member of the Expert Base of the “National Training Program” of the Ministry of Education; and a Distinguished Researcher of the “Chinese Traditional Music Education Course” of the China Conservatory of Music.
